Matthew is a shareholder at Woolford Kanfer Law having been named as such in 2024. He has a great deal of experience in all aspects of construction law and his passionate commitment to representing construction professionals enabled him to achieve shareholder status on an expedited basis. He has represented owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers design professionals and others involved in construction disputes. Matthew has represented our construction clients in many different courts, arbitrations and hearings in Pennsylvania and surrounding states with great success. Like the other professionals and Woolford Kanfer, he regularly works on disputes regarding payment, delays, acceleration, inefficiency, impacts, change orders and defective work. He handles mechanics’ lien claims and has successfully recovered very substantial sums for his clients on some very complex lien actions. He has a great deal of experience with the Pennysylvania Right to Know Law and has repeatedly obtained orders from the Office of Open Records directing various school districts and other public agencies to turn over records they attempted to withhold. He previously worked at a prominent Harrisburg law firm before joining Woolford Kanfer. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Leonard Brown in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas. He attended the William & Mary School of Law where he served as the Lead Articles Editor for the prestigious William & Mary Law Review. He was born and raised in Manheim, Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York. He scored in the 99 percentile on the New York State Bar Exam (multi-state portion). He enjoys unique restaurants, museums, gardens, fairs and discovering craft breweries and distilleries. He graduated from Grove City College in 2003 magna cum laude.
