Joseph M. Kanfer is a partner at Woolford Law, P.C. He is a 2009 graduate of William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia where he was selected as a Graduate Research Fellow and served as Managing Editor of the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law. While in law school, Joseph worked in a prosecutor’s office in Portsmouth, Virginia where he tried over 30 criminal cases to verdict. Joseph is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and all Pennsylvania state courts as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
Prior to joining Woolford Law, P.C., Joseph worked in a small law firm in Erie, Pennsylvania focused on aggressively litigating a wide range of complex business, construction, and other disputes in both state and federal courts and advising businesses on personnel, contract, and employee disputes. He has also argued cases before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Prior to law school, Joseph earned a degree in cellular biochemistry from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh where he was on the Dean’s List and selected for membership in the Psi Chi and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies.
